Tortured, hungry, and worked almost to death, Holocaust victims have faced problems we all hope we never need to deal with. The Holocaust was one of the biggest genocides known to man, with around eleven million people killed, and other millions enslaved. With very few survivors still living today, the Jewish were exploited then and now almost one hundred years later, are still being taken advantage of. Millions of dollars in donations and funds that are meant to help Holocaust survivors live comfortably are being used inappropriately right under the survivors ' noses. Survivors and their funds are being taken advantage of by the Israeli Government, and corporations such as the Jewish Claims Conference.

The request for one and a half billion dollars was filtered by the Jewish Agency, and a memorandum was sent to the Governments of the United States, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, United Kingdom, and France. The rehabilitation of Holocaust survivors costed around one and a half billion dollars, this is why Moshe Sharett requested this amount of money. After negotiations, the Israeli government settled for 1 billion dollars, and from West Germany only (Holocaust Restitution: German …show more content…
Instead of the Jewish Claims Conference handling the money that should go to the Holocaust survivors, since it has been proven they are corrupt and abuse the control they have been given, the money should go straight from the German government to the survivors. Another possible solution to this exploitation is by allowing the German government to check how much money has been given to the Holocaust survivors, and how much if any money is being put into salaries of employees. In addition to this thorough background checks should be performed on employees especially the heads and representatives. Andrey Adamovsky the Vice President of the World Jewish Council, defrauded 34.7 million dollars from his business partners. “The British Virgin Islands (BVI) court noted that Adamovsky then shifted the $71.6m fee, only half of which was legally his, to Stockman Interhold SA, his other BVI corporation, without the knowledge of his co-owners.” according to the Jewish Chronicle. If he was willing to steal money from his business partners he may have also been stealing from the organization. Adamovsky was still Vice President for some time, even after he was proven guilty of defrauding millions of dollars. Instead of allowing corrupt leaders and organizations handle this money

In the eleven documents we’ve viewed, its easy to see that the Germans have taken away basic human rights of the Jewish people. They've abused and practically tortured these poor Jewish people. Not to mention, the Jewish people have done nothing wrong to the Germans or Hitler, they just blamed them for the hyperinflation. Lastly, These Jewish people have a right to live their lives to the fullest and to the best of their ability and the Germans ripped that away from them. And once again, they did nothing wrong.

When looking at the Holocaust, most people agree that it was atrocious and one of the worst marks on the history of our planet. However, what they don’t realize is why people did not help those in need. As it turns out, there were valid reasons why change did not occur. In The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, these thoughts are explored as the main character, Liesel, learns about her country. Liesel and her foster family take in a Jew, something that shows their allegiance with the anti-Hitler cause.
When most people hear the term “Holocaust”, they immediately think of the millions of victims that were affected by Hitler’s Final Solution. However, they do not consider what happened to the survivors after the war. After the liberation of the Jews and other prisoners, the world turned to reuniting and relocating these victims of the horrors of the Holocaust. Under the guidance of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, America assisted displaced persons of the Holocaust and created the War Refugee Board. The War Refugee Board was responsible for helping many people looking for safety find a nice place where they could settle down after facing the challenges that Hitler’s followers brought upon them..
Imagine being stripped of everything in life-one’s home, family, friends, and wealth-and being forced into a labor. The prisoner toils for what seems like months-years even, but it is all futile in the end. This is what the Jews imprisoned in the Holocaust felt. The Holocaust was the organized and systemic killing of Jews by the Nazi regime from 1933 to 1945. Millions of Jews were taken from their homes and forced into concentration camps, where they were forced to work and later murdered in cold blood.
In the memoir, Night by Elie Wiesel it demonstrates how horrific it was back then in the Holocaust and the Jewish people didn’t know if they would live to see the next day. During the Holocaust, the Jewish people were treated very inhumanely. The times in the Holocaust were very discriminating toward the Jewish people because they had no self worth and their presence did not matter to the Nazi’s. The Jews had to work countless hours and they hardly ever got a break. Even if the Jewish people did not get a break, it did not mean that they would get any portion of food.
Prologue The Holocaust was a tragedy that happened in the 1940’s . It took around 11 million lives, 6 million of them being Jews. The victims of the Holocaust went through hell. They were starved, beat, and separated from their families.
At the end of the war, between 50,000 and 100,000 Jewish survivors were living in three zones of occupation; American, British, and Soviet” ( The Holocaust: An Introductory
Since 1945, the word holocaust has been taken under a horrifying meaning, the mass murder of over 6 million European Jews by the German Nazi during World War II. Elie Wiesel, a global activist, recounts the setting of a portion of his timeline. From Sighet to Auschwitz, Wiesel and his fellow Jews experienced reduction in their personal freedom as if it were dehumanization. “the same day, the Hungarian police burst into every Jewish home in town: a Jew was henceforth forbidden to own gold, jewelry, or any valuables. Everything had to be handed over to the authorities, under penalty of death.”
The Holocaust The Holocaust was a major part of history all over the world. What was the key to survival during the Holocaust? There were many major events that occurred during the Holocaust like the gas chamber, lack of food, and physical labor and so on. There were two key figures involved in the Holocaust.
Historians who study the Holocaust often have disputes about the Holocaust and related topics. Between 1939 and 1945, Jewish citizens who lived in Germany had their rights taken
The Holocaust is one of the most debated and published events in history. Many people have shown a keen interest in Holocaust studies and research. And as a result, thousands of books, articles, and countless stories have been published about the Holocaust describing it as one of the most tragic and terrible events in the human history. Holocaust Reaction Did you know America didn’t even know about the holocaust for the first few years? Today you will hopefully learn a bit more about the American reaction to the holocaust.
Expository Report “We must do something, we can’t let them kill us like that, like cattle in the slaughterhouse, we must revolt”. These are the words from many men surrounding Elie Wiesel as he entered Auschwitz, calling out for rebellious toward the Germans harsh conditions. Of course they had no idea what they were getting themselves into, many thought that there was nothing wrong until boarding the cattle train that would send them off to their final resting place. Life during the holocaust was torturous to say the least, so much so that some 6,000,000 lives were taken during this time in Jewish descent alone. People of the Jewish descent did not have it easy; they either were forced out of their homes into concentration camps, or they would hide out only to be found and killed of they remained in their settlements.
