US Congress is on the Top Congress is an important part of why the people of United States have freedom. Congress is the foundation of the government. Congress is the voice of the people, but in a larger scale. Congress has the power to apply taxes and collect them too. They also have to the power to manage the money flow, organize the trade and sales of big items in the states, making rules for the country, allowed to declare war and the last one is, to build up funds to take care of the military. Congress is broken into two parts, House of Representative and a Senate. The House of Representative follows the people’s concerns and works to resolve it. The House of Representative and the Senate has the power to make laws that are discussed within the Congress. The House of Representative has three different leader parts when it comes to keeping them organized, a speaker, majority leader, and a minority leader. A speaker’s job is to choose what case is important enough to bring in court and to set when the case would be heard. Majority leader helps to set the time of the debates and to help on planning the strategy they use in the debate. Minority leader represents for the people that are low in poverty that has concerns about their rights. The Senate is almost similar to the House of Representative, but has two roles that are different, President of Senate and president Pro Tempore. The President of Senate is the Vice President’s job. He or she doesn’t vote unless there is a tie. The President Pro Tempore job is to take over for the President of Senate if he or she isn’t present. The best part about Congress is that they have care about what the people ay and care about protecting the freedom of everyone that lives in the United States. The Congress is really close to the people because they want to make sure that the people have a say on what law needs to be put in place to help protect the people’s freedom. The way the Congress stays close to the people is by letting them vote for who gets elected into Congress. Everything that a person touches in the US is basically marked by Congress’s hands.
