At the time of my passing I wish to be given a memorial service. I believe that itll progress the moruning I do not want my love ones to see my body. Additionally, it will cost less to have a memorial service than a funeral as the cost to transport my body back and forth is too much as well as to embalm my body. A picture of me or a picture of me with my loved ones will do just fine. As for my agent my mother, Angelica M Estrada, will follow all my wishes that I have left behind. She shall notify my family and close friends of my passing via through phone call, email, or text. For the sake of keeping everything close to my family and friends, I shall not have an obituary written. I only want them to be present to my memorial and no one else. My memorial will be held in my Mother’s house in Cathedral City and I would enjoy if they were to bring a collection of my favorite foods, play my favorite music, and with all my heart to enjoy themselves rather than shedding tears. As for my documents they will be placed in a steel box located in the shed under the wooden table. My agent will know the code to …show more content…
When I went on their website and reviewed the price listings, the number $775 stood out right away. They only charge $775 for a direct cremation whereas Forest Lawn charges nearly $3,000. I wonder why they charge so much. Many people just want their deceased loved ones to be rest peacefully in either an urn or buried in a coffin. With this much cost it’s no wonder why so many do various car washes or use GoFundMe page to cover the expenses. American Cremation charges an additional $21.55 for a tax, permit, and DCA State fee. What was outstanding to me was how they offered free containers and free pick up of the remains. Forest lawn charges over $1,000 for those things. American Cremation also charges only $75 for Transportation. As you can see American Cremation doesn’t charge everything whereas Forest Lawn
Mistakes are inevitable. Before Hurricane Katrina most individuals evacuated the areas that were likely to be flooded. Hospitals, including Memorial, were not required to evacuate like everyone else. This meant that over two hundred patients were still in the building and even more staff when Katrina hit. Five Days at Memorial by Sheri Fink explores what happened inside the hospital during the aftermath of the storm and the legal battles that persisted long after the week people were trapped inside the building.

Bryce Harper and Hunter Strickland’s throw-down on Memorial Day reminded us that the bad blood between two teams or players isn’t always settled by playing the game. Below are, in no particular order, the top 10 baseball brawls in recent memory. Robin Ventura vs. Nolan Ryan, 1993 The altercation between Robin Ventura and Nolan Ryan is probably one of the most iconic brawls in baseball history. In a 1993 game between the Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox, Rangers pitcher Nolan Ryan plunked White Sox third baseman Robin Ventura with a high 90s fastball.
The cemetery that I chose to visit was “Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery in Scottsdale. Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery was established and has been managed by the Hawkins family since 1957. It is a part of Dignity Memorial, which is America’s largest provider of funeral, cremation, and cemetery services. Upon driving into Green Acres’s grand stone walls, it doesn’t take long to notice the vast amount of graves that lie within it. There are small roads that wind within the cemetery to take you as close as possible to the grave you wish to visit.
The patient’s family is also cared for by hospice during and following the patient’s demise; however, this is not a service provided by
The price to pay for assisted suicide costs a lot more than just money. Some of the elderly or sick people believe that they would become a financial burden to their friends and loved ones. In fact, in one of the states where assisted suicide is allowed, a poll was taken. The poll revealed that 66% of citizens would only consider assisted suicide because of being a financial burden on their loved ones. One person even says “If I had terminal cancer, I had a few weeks to live, I was in tremendous amount of pain - if they just effectively wanted to turn off the switch and legalize that by legalizing euthanasia, I'd want that” (Key).
Every human life is a series of events, starting with making birth and ending at the funeral. Each event carries a particular meaning, special moments and unforgettable memories. Vietnamese Buddhist funerals, which include traditional and political factors, mark a major change for the dead people and for his relatives ' life. The Vietnamese attach great importance to two traditional family obligations: The first one is to care for their parents in their old age and the second is to mourn them in death.

Everything’s accelerated these days, and the same must be said for grief online. The Internet cycles through all five stages in as many tweets. We find it hurtling toward us: unavoidable, wall-to-wall. And then, before we’ve processed it, the grief’s already gone.
Walt Disney was cremated after his death, and his ashes interred at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in
The attitudes to grief over the loss of a loved one are presented in two thoroughly different ways in the two poems of ‘Funeral Blues’ and ‘Remember’. Some differences include the tone towards death as ‘Funeral Blues’ was written with a more mocking, sarcastic tone towards death and grieving the loss of a loved one, (even though it was later interpreted as a genuine expression of grief after the movie “Four Weddings and a Funeral” in 1994), whereas ‘Remember’ has a more sincere and heartfelt tone towards death. In addition, ‘Funeral Blues’ is entirely negative towards death not only forbidding themselves from moving on but also forbidding the world from moving on after the tragic passing of the loved one, whilst ‘Remember’ gives the griever
LOSS, GRIEF AND HEALING As human beings, we suffer losses of many kinds and sizes in our life time. While some of these losses are small and do not hurt much, some are big and hurt deeply. Those that are accompanied by pains that are difficult to bear include the loss of a loved one through death or divorce, cheating or unfaithfulness in a trusted relationship or loss of good health when a diagnosis of a terminal illness is made. In all these instances of loss, pain and grief are experienced and an emotional wound is created which needs healing.
Each death penalty case in Texas costs taxpayers about $2.3 million. That is approximately three times the cost of imprisoning somebody in a single cell at the highest security level for 40 years. That is crazy! The government could actually do something good rather than something flawed and hypocritical. Taxpayers complain about paying taxes.
Losing someone you love dearly is one of the hardest things anyone can go through. Sometimes it hurts so bad that you may yourself, “What’s the point of being here anymore?” I ask myself that question all the time, ever since my Grandmother passed away. April 22nd, 2016, was a very emotional experience for my family and me. The day started off like any other day for us.
I know that I will be able to care for them properly, but I need to be professional and show empathy to family members in their sorrow. However, since the passing of my own parents, I feel I have become better at dealing with death. I would hope that I have no prejudices and will be able to care for anybody regardless of the
