The Industrial Revolution had significant impacts on almost all of society. Population boomed, there was tremendous economic growth, and the production of goods was entirely changed. Global History was forever changed from the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution can be considered a turning point in Global history because of the tremendous impacts it had on production of goods, transportation, population and economics in society.

The slow processes endured to produce goods and food was not going to work anymore. New inventions and ideas were going to make the outlook on production in Europe, entirely different. Initially, the production of cotton was done in houses in villages. Many people were involved in the production since it was such a slow process that didn’t produce that much. Once

Now that the economy was booming, families were expanding. Shortage of food was now an issue of the past which was decreasing death rates. The industrialized cities were now becoming over populated. New buildings were created called tenements which were extremely unsanitary and epidemics were going around. This was not an issue on farms but now in these over populated cities, it was. The only jobs available were in factories which were extremely dangerous but, what was the other option? Overpopulation was never such a serious issue. Population put many strains on European life because of the Industrial Revolution.
