The FCC is a government agency that regulates the radio, television and phone industries. The Federal Communication Commission regulates interstate communication for instance wire, satellite and cable, and international communication. The FCC originated from The Communication Act of 1934, which abolished the Federal radio commission. The Communication Act of 1934 was the barrier for all the communications rules in place today. This act expanded on the authority of the FCC to regulate public airwaves in the United Stated. The FCC already has to over see so much, with this reform passed it would make it easier on the employees as they would not have to censor as much. Citizens who believe in this reform would also benefit. T.V Networks would benefit because they would not have to censor and edit as much. If the limitations on what is shown were not as strict it is also let work and stress for the T.V networks. The radio will benefit from this also, the first amendment states freedom of speech and expression. If Radio host were able to say anything they want, the first amendment would actually be in affect. On the radio the host are not able to say the Seven Dirty Words, by the host being prevented from speaking what they want, the content is not all the way original. The audience gets to hear what were allowed to hear instead of what initially wants to be said. Radio stations that have a fan base disagree with this regulation. If the FCC loosens what is considered obscene speech, radio networks would actually feel like they are practicing their first amendment right. Radio and Television content should be original, the content cannot be ruled original if scences are edited out or words are blocked out. Same things with the radio, host should not have to monitor what they say. It is a right we have to be able to say whatever we want. In that case we should be able to practice that in any form. If a certain person does not want to be apart of that, they have the option to exclude

The American Civil Liberties Union or better known as the ACLU has been around for almost a hundred years know. The ACLU derived from the National Civil Liberties Bureau which was co-founded in 1917 during the World War 1 by an attorney activist Crystal Eastman, and Roger Nash Baldwin. The focus of the CLB was on primarily anti-was speech, freedom of speech, and on supporting people who did not want to serve in World War 1. Now, during the time of November 1919 and January 1920 there were raids called the “Palmer Raids.” An attorney general by the name of Mitchell Palmer began rounding up and deporting people.
The declaration of Independence says "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." This all taken away from people when the FCC uses their congressional powers to make more money. The FCC has taken away liberties that we're given to us in the Constitution, saying that "All men are created equal. " When they take away our perspectives and uses their position to make more money, it is unconstitutional. In my opinion the government should not inflict any action to make it to where we as people of America are being pushed down on so the people of Congress can step up a little higher.
The main reason why the Framers didn’t succeed in their final compromise is because it was too difficult to make all the delegates (who were basically competing) agree with each other, so numerous issues were ignored and most plans were severely compromised. An example of this is the debate between larger and smaller states over their representation in the newly proposed Senate. Two solutions were significantly favored: the New Jersey Plan and the Virginia Plan. The smaller states were in favor of the New Jersey Plan, which would enforce each state to send the same number of representatives to Congress. The larger states supported the Virginia Plan, which called for each state to have a different number of representatives based on the state’s population.
Essentially, the fairness doctrine enhances the First Amendment, and does not infringe upon it. The doctrine ensure a balance, and grants an open discussion of the issues being brought up. Due to the space limitations within radio and television, it allows for those channels to be more closely regulated. The FCC isn’t telling Red Lion to not host Reverend Hargis, or telling him to watch his tongue, they’re simply telling them to allow for rebuttal and to keep it fair.

The first Continental Congress assembled in Carpenter’s Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 5, 1774. One of the leading delegates was Joseph Galloway, a wealthy lawyer and member of the Pennsylvania Assembly. He was speaker of that colonial legislature from 1766 to 1775.
