In the Latino culture their family structure and spending time with family and friends is vital part of their daily life, and being in hospital may make Jacinta the feel isolate, depress and that she is missing their family structure. And, with Jacinta choosing not to eat the hospital provide food, it could be that she wants to eat her meals when the family is present. In addition, there may, also, be a language barrier when ordering her meals. The traditional in the Latino culture consist mostly of low fat, high fiber, complex carbohydrates and with a strong emphasis on corn, beans and rice (Dudek 246).
