The Trojan War was an extremely important event in history and it created a lasting impression on society. This event had a significant influenced on its victims. Events before as well as after this war affected the way people viewed the time period of the Trojan War. The Trojan War and the events revolving it had a major impact on the history of Ancient Greece. Although there were many factors that triggered the start of the Trojan War, however, the results of this war also affected the city of Ancient Greece. The war started due to the first battle of the American revolution, known as the battle of Lexington and Concord. In the battle America won because Great Britain retreated to Boston. Later in the war other battles have happened and America made a Declaration of Independence which basically explaing to Great Britain why they choose to rebel against them trying to cool the war down. During the war many battles happened a big one was called the battle of Bunker Hill and in the battle the Patriots also known as americans that rebelled against Great Britain, kept them in Boston while the British were planning and Great Britain ended up winning. Another big battle was called the battle of Saratoga and in this battle the British general Burgoyne cut the colonies in half and America ended up winning that one.

In an effort to keep Athens from assuming an excessive amount of power, Sparta worried about the expansion of Athenian influence and power. As it sought to stop Athens from gaining more power and influence in the Greek world, Sparta's campaign against Athens was mainly defensive in nature. Rome on the other hand waged more expansionist wars against the city-states of Italy and the city of Carthage.
The Ancient Greeks were affected in many ways by the things around and in the country called Greece. The geography of the land has had a great influence on Greece and the inhabitants. Throughout the history of Greece, there came more effects to the people who lived there. Some of these effects on the Ancient Greek civilization were positive and some were negative. Most of these effects were beneficial to the Greeks.
The Trojan War all started after the abduction of Helen of Troy. Paris received a golden apple and gave it to the most beautiful girl, in exchange for a gift. Paris then gave the apple to Aphrodite in exchange for the most beautiful wife. That most beautiful women was Helen of Troy. Once Helen was kidnapped, both sides were in disapprobation and then the Trojan War began (Trojan War - Ancient History - history.com).
One inspiration for the Greek War was Rousseau’s social contract philosophy. One example of this is during the ruling of the Ottoman Empire, Greece thought it would be only fair that they could have a say in the laws and government. This was a fair point to bring up, especially because they were the ones who would have to follow these rules. This aligned with Rousseau’s idea of the social contract that originated in 1762. Another piece of evidence is that once freed from Ottoman Empire rule, they started the social contract.

King Charles I, in no time considered getting help from parliament with the country. The war started because of many conflicts. For example, economic factors, cultural, and political reasons.
First, the main part of why all this happened was because of slavery. People and their states fought to prohibit slavery in the territories that had not yet become states. Another big reason they started the war was because of the election of Abraham Lincoln. According to Document 7, the Southern states believed that Lincoln was a very weak man, so the elected Jefferson Davis for their president. This enraged Lincoln so much that he declared war.

The goal of the 415 BCE play, The Trojan Women was to discourage war in the ancient Mediterranean world. The play showed the hardships that came with war in an attempt to end violent conflict. The same can be said about the 1971 film. The cinematized version of the play was released amidst the peak of Vietnam protest and aimed to show, yet again, the consequences of war. The film is one of the more interesting war films because its main characters are not the soldiers, but the people affected by the loss that war brought them.

This conflict according to Homer and ancient Greek mythology occurred because the Trojan prince Paris abducted Helen, the wife of Menelaus, brother to king Agamemnon. In this paper, I will be examining the consequences of war, as outlined by Homer.
