Hello fellow students and Mrs Cocks. I am here to present and argue about Euthanasia. For those who don 't know what this is, euthanasia is a medical procedure that is used if a patient wants or is forced into a form of suicide.This form of suicide includes a painless way of death. Also known as assisted suicide, this method became a legal law that was previously brought into the Northern Territory in 1995. This law was later removed by the NSW Government. There has been numerous reasons why the government have removed this law. Euthanasia has been around since 400 B.C by the Hippocratic oath as he believes in peace. “ As evidence, The Hippocratic Oath quotes “ world war 2 and was used during the holocaust, alongside with this and many other torturous procedures used such as starvation, it helped killed the millions of people in order to show how superior the nazi movement was. This euthanasia law was and has been used for people who for animals in the pound, violent people in jail,

There are 2 main types of euthanasia, Active and Passive. Active Euthanasia is when all medical supply that you need to survive an illness is cut off . Passive Euthanasia is given or is injected with a drug that will instantly …show more content…

Due to research, many websites told me that It decreases the value of life and the right of life should be protected. By this, I believe that they do not want to either bother with euthanasia or that they want to decrease Australia or NSW’s Death or suicide rate. According to the NSW government’s website due to euthanasia, it shows that the Greens party introduced this bill. Also known as the Rights of the Terminally Ill bill did not proceed to the second reading. There was an original plan to create a referendum on the subject of euthanasia.
