Orenthal James “O.J.” Simpson: A Convicted Glass of Juice
The mid afternoon sun beats down on the highway. The roar of a V6 engine in that 1994 White Ford Bronco. The wailing sirens of the dozens of county, state, and local police cars behind the Bronco. The crowds along the highway. This all describes the June 17th, 1994 slow speed chase of Orenthal James Simpson, otherwise known as O.J. Simpson. O. J. had been convicted of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her colleague, and realized what he had done. After he found out he was not guilty, he had thought over what his actions were. He knew what his future would be, as this had persisted in it. He set out in his Bronco, and headed out on the freeway. Many cops had followed

Not in this case. O.J had acted out of action, not of rational thought. He had a great career, and had thrown it all away due to his crimes. These crimes Simpson had committed, had led to a devastating future. Simpson then, in 2008, committed armed robbery and kidnapping of two sports memorabilia dealers in Nevada, thinking this wouldn’t harm him. He had been arrested, and sentenced. As Simpson committed the action, he reportedly told himself that he would “be innocent due to what he had done”. This shows how he displayed action instead of rational …show more content…
Through him not thinking through thought, but action, and him using his fanbase to his advantage, plus the fact that this was all done in a disorderly manner. Simpson truly had shown the type of man he was. Quick, and complicated. This is displayed through how he shows us the true meaning behind having power to your advantage. As an NFL superstar, he used his die-hard mentality fanbase to his own advantage. This also gave him ways to act in a disorderly manner. All in all, we learn a great fact here. When you’re given power in a certain leadership position, control your use of power. Limit your possibilities. Rule with a heart of gold, not of
Alton Logan was at age 28 when he was arrested and charged for a murder that occurred on January 11, 1982. The fatal shooting of Lloyd Wickliffe, who was an off-duty corrections officer passing by as a security guard, happened during a robbery attempt at a McDonald’s restaurant in the suburbs of Chicago. Mr. Logan was sentenced to life in prison even though there was no physical evidence linking him to the murder. Two other separate attorneys knew that he was innocent because one of their clients confessed to them privately that he murdered the security officer. He was an innocent person who winded up spending 26 years of his life in prison.
Your Honor and Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, in this case, we are here to prove that one night in the park Johnny Cade a violent, dirty, angry greaser pulled out his knife- the knife he had been carrying around waiting to get revenge on Bob Sheldon- and murdered him. Bob, Randy, and David stopped to take a stroll in the park where Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade were waiting to attack. This is something Dallas Winston, a multiple-time offender, would do, Johnny looked up to Dallas. Therefore, we will be looking to convict Johnny Cade of first-degree murder. First of all, Johnny wanted revenge; he knew it was Bob Sheldon who had beaten him in the lot, and left a scar all the way down one side of his face, Johnny would always carry that scar with him.
In 1995, former NFL player O.J. Simpson was put on trial for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. O.J. Simpson’s trial is believed to be one of the most popular and controversial trials to ever take place in the Los Angeles Superior Court. O.J. was found not guilty by the verdict and was released to go on and live his life. But my belief is, O.J. should have been found guilty, because of all the of the evidence that was found at the scene and later on in the investigation they discovered more evidence. Also because of the book that Nicole’s brothers published later after her death.
The Unexpected Life Of O.J Simpson Hi we are the parents of Ron Goldman and in this story I would be writing about the murder trial of my son and his friend Nicole Brown. They were both murdered in 1994 in the house of Nicole Brown in Los Angeles, the suspect was the homeowner O.J Simpson but when police got their he wasn’t there was a manhunt for him in his white Bronco truck. First we would be talking about O.J Simpson life before this happened.
They occur when anger is built up inside someone over months or years. Two years prior to the murders, investigators found pictures which showed that Nicole was abused. There were also letters from O.J. admitting and apologizing for what he had done. These are the same documents that Nicole used to win their divorce case in 1992 (Reibstein “And now, the trial” 44). These first known signs of abuse had proved that O.J. had some psychological issues.
It is my opinion that if Jason was involved with the double murder-homicide, and the investigators were more forceful, O.J. may have been inclined to protect his son and take the fall. He possibly would have given a false statement of confession, even though he may have not committed the
They also stated there was no reason for OJ to kill his ex-girlfriend and her friend. The defense team used a famous phrase in the case “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit”. At 10am on October 3, Judge Ito's clerk read the jury's verdict of "Not Guilty," 91% of people viewing television
John Wayne Gacy was prosecuted on multiple accounts of murder, an accounted serial killer and rapist. In the court of law, it does not matter what upbringing a citizen may have faced. No matter what hardship or handicaps an individual faced during their childhood, crime is definite. He was accused of multiple charges with various evidence. Eventually, Gacy had given up and knew his sentence was inevitable.
OJ Simpson was a very achieved person player until he made one big mistake. The trial of OJ Simpson was a long stressful process to prove a star innocent or guilty of murder. This took Place in the state of California on October 3, 1995. OJ was tried for a murder crime of his ex-wife and another man. In the end OJ turned out to be not guilty of this crime.
The reason O.J. was found not guilty of murder and acquitted in criminal court, but found guilty of the tort of harm and ordered to pay damages in the civil court lies in the structure of our legal system, in regards to criminal cases and civil cases. The distinct difference between criminal cases and civil cases provides further explanation regarding the O.J. Simpson case. Criminal cases deal with crimes against society. It is the government, not the victim, who brings action against the charged individual. In criminal cases, the penalties can include a number things including jail time.
The O.J. Simpson case was a different one because he was a celebrity. The celebrity status made all the difference in the case, as most people had diverse views on the case. As a famous individual, the media also had the chance to broadcast the trial and give differences of opinion on the case. The celebrity status had a significant influence in the O.J. Simpson case as the public had to struggle with an image he had created for many years. People knew O.J. Simpson as a footballer and an actor with a charming character impossible to hurt anyone.
OJ Simpson and Lizzie Borden Verdict How would you feel knowing that two ruthless murders were walking your town's streets, at your local stores, waving at your children, and talking to your loved ones? It wouldn’t feel pleasant, would it? That’s why Lizzie Borden and Oj Simpson need to be locked up.
Despite overwhelming evidence against him, O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of all major charges and was released from jail. I, like many other Americans, believe O.J. Simpson did in fact get away with murder after that fateful verdict was read on October of 1995. The jury’s not-guilty verdict was clearly the result of their
OJ Simpson is Indeed Innocent “If it doesn’t fit, you have to acquit,” this quote said by one of OJ Simpson’s attorneys, Johnny Cochran, is widely known for its impact on the controversial case of OJ Simpson. On June 12, 1994 Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman met an untimely demise, and the only suspect the police ever reviewed was OJ Simpson. OJ was later caught in a low speed chase in a white Ford Bronco before being taken into custody and put on trial. In the sensationally controversial court case involving OJ Simpson as a suspect for murder, The innocent ruling
