Intoroduction The Revolutionary War was a very important to the world. It showed how strong the British and the continental army was. In order to win the war you had to win a most of the battles. They had great leaders. For the Continental army, they had George Washington as their leader. For the British army they had William Howe as their leader. They lead their sides to great victory they also lead their sides into losing. This is about the wife's, side of the story she is of one of the soldier's wife. She is telling what she heard about the soldiers. Her husband was on the Continental army side. The war and battles have made him very sick so that is why she is telling the story. The turning point was that the Continental army didn’t think that they were strong, they thought that they were a very weak army. It turns out that they were a very strong army, but only when they fought in the battles. They won battles that they didn’t think they could win. They were strong because they didn’t have a lot of supplies and they stayed alive in the war, they made it through most of the war, then signed a treaty and the war was over. Even though they only won 3 out of the 9 battles that they fought, they fought them hard. They tried their best. They surprised the British army at some points. Another turning point can be when Burgoyne surrendered at a battle because he tried over and over again to win, but he just couldn’t and therefore the continental army won the battle.
