The reasons why I am attending college Personally, I decided to go to the college because my parents always taught me that a higher-education could offer me a better life. I attended an extraordinary high school in Italy but I wanted to continue my education here in Miami. I am attending college because I will get an excellent job and most like it make more money when I graduate, I will build more knowledge and skills and finally I will have the college experience and make more friends. Hearing wonderful things about the college and the numerous success stories made it easy for me to choose Miami-Dade college. First of all, coming from Europe, I understand how difficult looking for a job can be after college, especially with a high unemployment rate like the current one in this country. I am confident that graduating with a degree from Miami-Dade College will improve my chances of getting hired and making more money than I would with just my high school diploma. Part of attending college is experiencing new things and meeting new people. Miami-Dade College holds students from all over the world and the college friendships I am making today are extremely important since most college friendships are long lasting. I strongly believe the experiences I will have in college will make a significant difference in my life. Along with making new friends, the college experience will offer me the opportunity to do some networking as well. Many successful people that have graduated from colleges and universities have credited their success to the connections they made while studying and I truly believe those connections made in the school will facilitate the job search. There are many reasons why going to Miami-Dade College will have a strong impact and influence in my life. I believe going to college opens many doors and will prepare me for my future
