The reasons why I am attending college Personally, I decided to go to the college because my parents always taught me that a higher-education could offer me a better life. I attended an extraordinary high school in Italy but I wanted to continue my education here in Miami. I am attending college because I will get an excellent job and most like it make more money when I graduate, I will build more knowledge and skills and finally I will have the college experience and make more friends. Hearing wonderful things about the college and the numerous success stories made it easy for me to choose Miami-Dade college. First of all, coming from Europe, I understand how difficult looking for a job can be after college, especially with a high unemployment rate like the current one in this country. Part of attending college is experiencing new things and meeting new people. Miami-Dade College holds students from all over the world and the college friendships I am making today are extremely important since most college friendships are long lasting. I strongly believe the experiences I will have in college will make a significant difference in my life. " For two semesters, I have participated in the Community College Completion Corps. I have served as both Sub-Chair planner and Vice President of membership; in the former position I led the campaign. This event educates Tarrant County College Southeast Campus students as wells as faculty members about the importance of graduating from community college.
Being able to connect with the community and with my peers will be a valuable and unforgettable experience. Not only will I be able to learn from the community, but from my fellow peers, medical students, high school students, and other undergraduates as well. Getting to me mentored by people who have done what I want to do will be enriching, it’ll be an experience that ill cherish forever. Creating long lasting friendships with people who have similar interest.
I have many friends and teachers that I have grown close to at Fort Campbell, and experiencing my senior year without them would not be the same. I have made so many wonderful connections at this school, and I feel that when I am at Fort Campbell High, I truly have a place I belong. I have an excellent academic record. Based off of semester one grades, I am currently tied for fourth place overall in my grade level for highest GPA. I have taken, and am currently signed up to take, several AP classes.
Picking to attend a Community college for me is the best choice that I picked for my education. Community colleges provide a great service to students in many more ways other than just education. They help students who are unsure what they want to do or are unable to attend a four year university. Community Colleges also provide continuing education even after they have gotten a degree and a job.
As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. When researching university to attend I stumbled upon TCU and with further reading I started imagining where I would live, what classes I would take, and suddenly realizing that TCU was it.
