For everyone death is inevitable. It is already written in stone. The sailors of the USS Indianapolis died far too young. They should have lived a longer life than what they did. There were many reasons of how they died but why did they die? Many sailors lost hope of being rescued and they just were not prepared. Therefore, more sailors died than survived. In the end, the sailors of the USS Indianapolis lost hope in being rescued. Some questioned whether or not anyone even got an SOS. After being in the sea for five days, they did not believe that anyone was coming. “All the same, they felt hopeless, despairing that rescue would ever come.” (Left For Dead p. 88) They never even saw a ship or a plane. When they were finally rescued, some sailors

Putting It All Together page 531 In the nineteenth-century, many people believed that American Indians were “vanishing” or they were dying out. There are some sources that believe that they did vanish and there are others that do not.
In the article – “Columbus, The Indians, and Human Progress” it first talks about how when Columbus first reached the island the Arawak men and women ran up and greeted them and gave them supplies in exchange for the things Columbus had. When Columbus did get there he took some of the natives by force in hopes they would show him where the good stuff was, such as the gold. Columbus left this island and since he knew the world was round he could sale west and make it to the place he headed for. He ended up being thousands of miles farther away than he had calculated. On the way up to Asia he came across uncharted land between Europe and Asia also known as America.
And finally they begged the gods to help. They begged for land, for food, for water. They promised the gods that they would never again own slaves, and they would never again eat man. The gods delivered them a storm to push them faster, the seas heaved and the waves grew like cliffs alongside their ships. And in the morning, they landed ashore."

Throughout the nineteenth century, most white settlers viewed Native Americans as lesser people and who were no better than animals. However, the thoughts about the survivability of Native Americans were in sharp contrast. Many commentators believed that American Indians were unable to evolve to sustain their prehistoric lifestyle and would soon die off. Others thought American Indians were instead able to endure the rapid change and would survive. With rumors and myths spreading rapidly, it became abundantly clear that in the nineteenth century Native Americans were widely viewed as a dying race although there were the occasional reports on the success and survivability of American Indian groups.

There were many instances where Jake was conflicted with himself on whether he should follow through with his mission or to protect the Na'vi. Internal noise is an aspect of communication that acts as a barrier; it can be physiological, psychological, or semantic. Internal noises act as a distraction, usually thoughts, that interrupt the communication process. Jake, a paraplegic, was promised by the Colonel that his legs would get restored if he gathered enough information about the Na'vi and their gathering place. Some people look at death as a truly terrifying phenomenon, while other people welcome death for one or multiple reasons.
Steve Jobs once said "No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.
