My Future Career, Nurse Practitioner A nurse practitioner is a nurse with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. When I was little I always said I wanted to become a nurse practitioner. It was something about being able to help patients overcome their illnesses that interested me the most. It always seemed like it was the perfect profession for me because I am a people’s person. The required education is to have a Master’s degree. They provide general care, oversee check-ups, treat sickness, order lab tests and they prescribe medicine. As a primary nurse practitioner they work in health clinics or hospitals. The special licensure needed includes a Registered Nurses license and a Nurse Practitioners license. Being a nurse practitioner, there are jobs always available and you can pretty much find one anywhere in the United States, which means I would not have to relocate. The currently salary for a nurse practitioner is $99,865 . I feel that I am suitable for this choice because my family has had many medical problems and things of that nature. I plan on treating and helping everyone I can. I hope to be the person all the women, men, and children look forward to coming to see. I want to be the nurse practitioner that makes a difference in other people’s lives on a daily basis. Being a nurse practitioner you learn many different things, and that’s what I look forward to the most. There is nothing more than obtaining all the knowledge you can. Becoming a nurse practitioner won’t be easy but I’m sure in the end it’ll be all worth it. All of the time and energy I will spend will all pay off and I will so excited to have all the extra credentials, diplomas, and certificates to follow me and my name until I decide to retire and even after, to be known as THE BEST NURSE PRACTITIONER
