Dear school board,
I believe night should not be banned because it is a true story about a boy going through things we could never imagine. We need to know about things like that because that is history and we need to know the history or we would all be walking around clueless knowing nothing. The holocaust is a big topic and shouldn't be banned at all.
We cannot ban Night By Elie Wiesel because you have to understand the author's point of view and the character's point of view. In the story night, Elie had to face so many challenges like seeing people die from starvation being beaten and so much more. He had to leave his mom and sister behind and watched so many friends die. We, kids, need to read the book night so we can feel the same pain he had to go through and be able to relate to him at that moment in the story. In passage one, the Jews were forced to get off trains and dig big holes in the ground until they were tired. The Jews didn't realize they dug holes for the children. The holes they did were for the germans can throw the dead kids in and use the kids as practice targets for the

Elie wrote the book so this would never happen again and to tell people what he really had to go through because some people think the holocaust was fake or not as bad as people make it but it really is bad because million of jews died and Elie was one of the surviuojs of that and had to watch his whole family leave ad die infront of him and he wants people to know that all those events of staving, being beaten to death, watching his father slowly die over the years, he wanted to commit subside so many times he wrote the book so these events won't happen to nobody ever again or have to go through what he had to go through during his time in the Holocaust, It's amazing how he survived it and lived to tell his side of the
Elie wrote the book to share his memories and experiences during the Holocaust. On the back of the book was a summary of why Elie chose to write the book. The summary revealed why Elie implied that his memory and many other victims’ memories should not be forgotten. The summary on the back of the book states, “his unforgettable message that this horror must never be allowed to happen again.” Elie believed it was extremely important to keep these memories alive and share them with others because something like this
In the preface of “Night” a book and memoir about the holocaust, by Elie Wiesel, he writes that he doesn’t know or no longer knows what he meant to achieve by writing the memoir. Earlier in the preface we are informed that the reason he began writing “night” was because he believed that he left the camps alive by chance, and that he didn’t deserve it more than anybody else thrown into German concentration camps. After realizing this he didn’t want to waste what he had and because of that he immediately set pen to paper and began writing a book that would bring its writer the nobel peace prize. But what did he achieve in this book?
English Night Essay The book Night, it is about a teenager named Elie that goes through the holocaust with his father. Elie and his father experienced starvation, injuries and physical abuse. After reading Night, one might wonder why German people do nothing to stop the concentration camps. The people of Germany kept silent because, they were scared of Hitler’s power and, they were scared of losing their own lives.
The book night is about a kid named Elie and his father in the As concentration camps Auschwitz and Buchenwald . Elie survives the concentration camps , he leaves behind his own innocence and is haunted by the death and violence he has saw. A few months before the concentration camps are invaded by Allied soldiers , Eliezer’s father dies . When reading Night it is evident that inhumanity
Dear Members of the Make Believe ISD School Board, You have no right to ban the book Night by Elie Wisel. In the article I Remember Night by Clemantine Wamariya, she writes about how Night by Elie Wisel spoke to her as a person who has also gone through genocide and sparked her start as an activist. If you choose to ban the book Night by Elie Wisel you are going against our first amendment.
The concentration camp left a deep wound on Elie that will never recover: losing his family, friends, life, opportunity, etc. He will forever remember those horrifying events that happened to not only him… but others around him. The Night is a rather slow passage book, it doesn’t really have a lot of harsh
The holocaust makes physical and mental alterations to Elie’s life, and this tells the reader that the people who did this are effective and impacting, also it shows that Elie’s mind is controlled by what he was experiencing. Way back at the start of the book the readers see an adolescent boy who is studying Kabbalah, but when suddenly German officers come to ship the Jewish citizens out of his town, Elie wants to run away. Dear School board Everyone should have an open censorship because it affects our society by opening our perspective. Censorship is a suppression of words, ideas, that are “inappropriate” or offensive. The novel “Night” by Ellie Wiesel is a novel about the times during World War ll following concentration camps with the Nazis, therefore I believe this book shouldn't be banned. Even though some may believe “Night” should be removed due to its “violence” and “sensitive” topic; however this book informs and educates the topic of what really went on during World War ll. This book goes on to tell from Ellis' first point of view in which he describes the tragic events that happened to him.
Elie Wiesel's powerful story in "Night" has the ability to inspire action in its readers, encouraging them to speak out against injustice. As cited by Wamariya, reading "Night" has the potential to awaken individuals from being mere bystanders to becoming agents of change. To combat bullying and make our school a secure environment for education and personal development, it is imperative for silent students to find their voices. As Wamariya suggests, we can follow in Elie's footsteps and use our voices to denounce injustice. Despite the presence of bullying and racism in our middle school, we have the potential to overcome it, but it will require students with the courage to take
I am writing to strongly argue against the banning of the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel from the high school curriculum. This book is a powerful and important work of literature that provides invaluable insights into one of the darkest periods in human history, and banning it from the curriculum would be a grave disservice to the students. "Night" is a memoir that tells the story of Elie Wiesel's experiences as a Jewish teenager during the Holocaust. It describes the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps and the profound loss and suffering that he and his fellow prisoners endured. While the book is undeniably difficult and disturbing to read, it is also a profoundly moving and insightful work that forces us to confront the worst aspects of humanity
He showed the readers a personal view of the Nazi's treatment to the prisoners. The hell Elie went through in the camps is something that he will never forget. In contrast the dehumanization the jews received was very harsh it was something that changed their lives forever. They lost their possession, family, morality and their identity. Because of the strength Elie had through this horrible experience he has gained a stronger
Banning Night will take away from the students learning about events in the past such as the Holocaust. In the passage the author gives us a detailed insight on his life during the Holocaust while he himself was a
Elie Wiesel’s Night should not be banned from the book list for ninth grade because it is a book that teaches very important lessons despite the fact that it contains violent scenes. The book shows that we should treat people in a good way even if they are not like us. It reveals the horrible consequences of inhumanity, the meaningless suffering and unbearable pain of innocent people. These reasons show that the book is very important for the grown-ups because it deals with fundamental questions about humanity and moral values.
Once liberated from these concentration camps, Elie has done much to make people around the world more aware of the indescribable events that occurred during his time in these camps, and make sure that people will speak out against these events instead of staying silent, so that these events may be prevented in the future. He wrote many pieces and delivered many speeches in attempt to lift the world out of indifference. I believe that Elie’s novel Night communicates his message more effectively than his speech, Perils of Indifference. Not only does it convey his message of that we all must speak out against
I think Night should stay on Mrs. Avila’s book report list because this is a book that more students need to read because Elie Wiesel and other holocaust survivor’s stories should be remembered so history won’t repeat itself. I didn’t like that Night left me with many questions, like did Eliezer ever completely restore his faith in God, what happened to his leg after undergoing an operation, why wasn’t his sisters and mother mentioned ever again, I also wanted to know if Eliezer ever has a bright light in the future. If you believe the world is all sunshine’s and rainbows, your whole view on life is about to change. Night opened my eyes, the world is not perfect. There is evil people in this world.
