Willy Collignon recently started his job South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks as a Northeast Regional Park Supervisor. His office is in Watertown, South Dakota. Willy has several different job duties to perform, such as dealing with visitors, building bridges, constructing and maintaining trails, works with groups within the communities, and communicates to the public. Willy had an internship through Oakwood Lakes State Park before graduating college. Willy was asked what his hardest part of working for South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks and he explained that he can’t find one thing that is hard about his job because there is so many. Although, Willy went into detail that it is hard to communicate and manage people due to the fact that there are so many visitors that come to the parks. …show more content…
It seems like his job was hard to get due to the fact that when he graduated from South Dakota State University in 1997, with his Park Management degree, he couldn’t find a job in South Dakota. So, Willy went to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to work as a Park Foeman. I thought it was interesting that he can build trails and bridges to having to communicate with the public. I feel like if I would have a job like Willy, I would like it due to the fact that his job has such a variety of duties to be done. I also liked how Willy has to manage 18,000 acres of land in the Northeast Regional in South Dakota. I like this because it gives a chance to travel and not have to stay in one spot for a long period of time. Willy didn’t talk much about what kind of courses to take in this career field. Although, he did mention a few time to get as much experience as you can and learn from them and also make professional connections. With this job and several other jobs, there’s a chance that you will have to move for a job. Willy also explains that you have to be open to more successful and do things you may not

1.what is history I believe that the author Eric foner would respond to the stated questions that history isn 't the past but the present and how we interact with objects as well as each other. " 'History ' writes James Baldwin, an unusually astute observer of twentieth century American life 'does not refer merely, or even principally, to the past, on the contrary, the great force of history comes from the fact that we carry it within, are unconsciously controlled by it in many ways, and history is literally present in all we do '". What the author means by this is that everything we do and what others have done and will do, shapes history, that the actions we do affect others and so-on. In physics there 's a theory called the butterfly effect that states that the butterfly effect "is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.
For my Quaker essay I focused on John Woolman. He was British-American Quaker leader and abolitionist whose Journal is recognized as one of the classic records of the spiritual inner life. John was born on October 19, 1720 in Rancocas, New Jersey and died on October 7, 1772, while on a trip to England John Woolman died of smallpox. He is best known for his Journal, and for his lifelong work to end slavery. Both were sources of inspiration to the emerging abolitionists of his day, and continue to inspire readers today.
Have you ever thought about what life would be like as a pirate? It would be pretty hard having to live in a ship, being wanted, and having to live with the fact you killed people wouldn't it? Well that's the life Thomas Tew had to live. To start Thomas Tew's Life nobody even knew where he was born or when he was born! There are many different theories about where he was born and what seems to be the most popular one is that he was born in the southern coastal areas of England since that's where his family was from.
Apart from the American dream being an important goal of Willy’s, it has also created a strain on Willy’s mental state. “I’m the New England man. I’m vital in New England,” (8). This quote reveals that Willy has become mentally unstable due to the fact that he believes in something that is not logical. Considering his age, it would actually be an exaggeration to say that he is still useful as a salesman.

Annotated Bibliography Tashina Stoffel, Personal Interview, 3 November 2015 I prepared for my interview by researching questions that would really be essential to my essay. I chose questions that would be easy for her to answer and questions that could be incorporated into my essay. I also asked questions that would be fun for her to answer and that could help influence my decision on the career. I used the answers to the questions to introduce the career.
This is understandable because Willy seems very adamant on Biff joining the business world and continuing the family legacy. As seen later on when Willy joins the conversation he sarcastically states, “Go back to the west! Be a carpenter, a cowboy, enjoy yourself!” (Miller 45) From this, it is apparent that Willy thinks moving to the west a joke and that it’s not a real dream that one could have. This is backed up by the fact that he uses examples of carpenters and cowboys to show he believes the professions of the west are of much lower status than that of a New York businessman.
Willy is salesman, who returns early from a business trip. After almost collapsing several times, he is enlightened and realized that he should perhaps change his job to once in which he will not be required to travel. Linda, his wife, also realizes that her husband is no longer suitable for his job as a traveling salesman; thus, she suggests that he requests that his manager, Howard, gives him a local job at the New York headquarters. Willy believes this should be possible because of his contribution throughout the years as a respected salesman. On the night, Willy decides to

He has a Job, two kids, and a wife. Willy is a salesman who dreams to be like his role model, Dave Singleman. Singleman - in Willy perspective- had the ultimate successful life, as expressed in this quote: "Cause what could be more satisfying than to be able to go, at the age of eighty-four, into twenty or thirty different cities, and pick up a phone, and be remembered and loved and helped by so many different people?" [Act 2] Willy believed that success, was equivalent to how well liked he was. Willy's 'flaw' was his foolish pride, his persistence of achieving "his rightful status".
