War has constantly been apart of our history; it is still going on today. No matter the year or time, there seems to always be some sort of disagreement or complication between two different parties. Four of the greatest wars of the world are World War One, World War Two, the Cold War, and more recently the War on Terror. All of these wars took place during the 20th century, creating the image that all of the 1900’s was fighting. Certain disagreements, hardships, and relationships came together to make a century that seemed like continuous war. However, there were breaks between these different battles, there were disagreements that would travel from one war to the next war, causing what felt like non stop war. The cause of this war was nationalism, alliances, imperialism, and militarism. Also during this time period, countries were becoming more advanced and coming out with new technologies such as the maxim/machine gun, barbed wire, and bigger/longer artillery which caused many casualties. World War One was known as one of the deadliest wars there has ever been because of advanced technologies such as poison gas, new guns, barbed wire, and many advanced weapons. For example, we learned about the deadly war, and weapons that were present during this exact war. In the World War One poems we can see how painful the deaths of this war really were.
