Pensacola Light
“Pensacola, Florida”
Built: 1858
“This 160-foot tall brick tower shows its automated light 191 feet above sea level. It has survived the Civil War, lightning strikes and earthquakes, and has been tended by numerous keepers over the years (in one 15 year period, there were 13 different keepers). It resides inside the Pensacola Naval Air Station at the western end of Pensacola Bay.”
