Point Cabrillo Light
“Mendocino, California”
Built: 1909
Automated: 1973
“This 47 foot high tower is attached to the station’s fog signal building. Located between Point Arena and Cape Mendocino along California’s northern coast, it sits on a low, flat point surrounded on three sides by water. The original third-order Fresnel lens once again shines out over the Pacific Ocean. It is currently owned by the California State Coastal Conservancy and the North Coast Interpretive Association.”
