Will Rogers, a well-known humorist and “cowboy philosopher” was born in Oklahoma’s Indian Territory to a distinguished family.
Rogers acted in movies, wrote a syndicated newspaper column, and has his own radio broadcast. He traveled all over the world and was one of America’s most popular figures.
Rogers died in 1935 in an airplane crash over present day Alaska.
