message: Why shouldn’t you? The government controls alot of stuff; who is in office can change your future dramatically. If you want to control your future, then control the government with your vote!

message: I am a woman and it was not until the 19th Amendment was passed in the early 1900’s that I was given this “fundamental right.” I think of all that those who have gone before me such as Susan B. Anthony, who fought so diligently to secure future womenÂ’s rights. The right to vote is my voice in politics. I am voting for myself and those who never had the option. I have no right to say anything about the government and its doings if I never even bothered to go and choose who we put in office.

message: The answer to whether one should vote or not is rather simple. You should vote because it is a great privilege. People fought, argued and struggled for years, even decades, some of them dying before they could see the fruits of their labor, just so we could have the right to vote. Not voting would be demeaning all their efforts. Even in the world today many countries do not give their citizens a right to vote. Some countries give the appearence of a democracy when in actually the government is corrupt and voting is rendered practically useless.

message: I think you should vote because you have an opinion and your opinion DOES count. Its kinda selfish not to vote. Because it would kind of seem like you dont care who wins or looses.
