Casablanca is a classic romantic drama film released in 1942. Directed by Michael Curtiz, the movie stars Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman as two former lovers who are reunited in Morocco during World War II. The movie also features memorable performances from Claude Rains, Paul Henreid, Peter Lorre, Sydney Greenstreet and Dooley Wilson.

The success of Casablanca has made it one of the most beloved films ever made. It was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture and won three: Best Director (Curtiz), Best Screenplay (Julius J. Epstein & Philip G. Epstein) and Best Original Score (Max Steiner). Over time, it has become an iconic representation of wartime romance due to its stirring musical score, unforgettable dialogue ("Here's looking at you kid"), timeless characters and powerful ending scene where Rick sacrifices his own happiness for that of another's freedom from Nazi oppression - making it one of Hollywood's most enduring classics.
