The Sergeant reports to Duncan about how Macbeth defeated the betrayer known as Macdonwald. Macbeth achieved this victory by overcoming the odds and was able to strike, stab, and beheaded Macdonwald. As with this news it reveals how Macbeth is worthy of his titles as brave, gentleman, and champion of the king. This means Macbeth character is worthy to be a king.
