Since the beginning of the 12th century Russia has had its own unique and diverse culture. After the fallen of the Soviet regime, Russia found itself in the face of great opportunity to choose a completely new way to build its life. With the involvement of so many conflicts and shifts in power their nation cannot seem to adapt and pull together as one Federation. Despite having one of the largest militaries in the world, Russia is still in turmoil and trying to recover from their financial crisis. Russia has one of the largest military forces in the world. Post-Cold War their armed forces fell apart and dissolved on December 31, 1991. Without government reign, or a declaration in place, this left their military in limbo. This great accomplishment created by Boris Yeltsin was a turning point for Russia. Boris was the first President of the fresh Federation who contracted a decree to establish a military force. The new military was divided into three different Armed Forces branches. These branches include their Ground Force, Aerospace Forces, and Navy. This decree also specified that males must be between the ages of 18-27 to join, and required to sign up for the draft after the age of 17. This was a huge step for the Russian Federation to try and get their military back on track. Russia has an indigenous missile defense system that has been keeping aerial foes in check since 1955. Russia’s premier air defense millile system is the S-400 Triumf. Established in 2007 the s400 uses three different missiles to cover its entire performance
