Post WWl, Russia was still not industrialized, suffering economically and politically and in no doubt in need of a leader after Lenin’s death. “His successor, Joseph Stalin, a ruthless dictator, seized power and turned Russia into a totalitarian state where the government controls all aspects of private and public life.” Stalin showed these traits by using methods of enforcement, state control of individuals and state control of society. The journey of Stalin begins now.
He had the suspected communists blacklisted. He mostly accused famous people and urged people that the individuals who should be feared were the communists. People also feared the Soviet Union during this time period Many people were accused of trying to
Stalin used this fear to corrupt the minds of people into doing exactly what he wanted them to do. Although, many people had opposing viewpoints concerning Joseph Stalin, there
To most people’s surprise, even in the professional and highly political National Hockey League (NHL), there are people involved with the association that suffers from mental illness and addictions. One of those people was Theo Fleury. Theo Fleury’s book takes you back in time to his dark childhood and bumpy National Hockey League career. Fleury certainly does not hold back in detail when it comes to the sexual abuse he experienced as a child, and the drug abuse as an adult. Though all this happens to him, he perseveres and attempts a National Hockey League comeback as well as becoming a number one best selling author.
First is the topic about lying. There are various examples of lying in the family after Lenin’s mother is rushed to the hospital and wakes up from a long coma. Lenin begins lying to his mother after the doctor tells him that anything that triggers her can lead to a heart attack, which can lead to death. He goes to the extremes just to lie to his mother about the Berlin
Vladimir Lenin is not always looked upon favorably by history. Especially in the United States, where Lenin is heavily identified with the genocidal Stalin. But there's more to Vladimir Lenin than his unsavory associations, and this list will demonstrate that. Here's part one of the 15 item list. Number Fifteen:
Stalin went on a spree of execution, imprisoning and firing many officials (especially the officials with higher level) “The Great Purge 1934-1940.”(H-Headlines). Stalin would do whatever it takes to upset any building power bases or alliances who he thought might work against him to take his leadership status.
Stalin was very cold and had no remorse in his heart whatsoever. He ruled with an iron fist and did not like to share his power. However, others would disagree
He desired to put down the Communist ‘parties
Introduction Joseph Stalin is perhaps one of the most important and discussed people in Russian history. He was arguably a feared tyrant cursed and despised by many. At the same time, one finds sufficient evidence for the adoration and worship of Stalin that used to exist in the minds of the citizens of the Soviet Union. One reason for this worship was the existence of the so called ‘Cult of Personality’ where Stalin was celebrated as a wise leader, father of all people, and the architect of victory of the Second World War. In his book, The Stalin Cult: A Study in the Alchemy of Power, Jan Plamper states that Stalin’s cult of personality was largely a visual phenomenon.
However, this only scratches the surface of what Stalin put the Soviet Union through. Stalin was a very persuasive man, his writings make it seem as if he is in the right and is innocent. To support this statement, two pieces of Stalin's writings were
Studies show between 3 and 1 percent of people are attracted to members of the same sex. The Sexual Orientation Continuum is meant to show if someone is more excepting toward heterosexuality or to homosexuality. If the person favor towards more one end then the other they are more likely to except the most favored one. Studies also state that most people are in between and can pick a heterosexual life and be happy but if they lean more towards homosexuality they would most likely; will live an unhappy life style trying to be heterosexual, this may lead to sadness and depression.
In some circumstances, Lenin made accusations, won wars greatly, and was treated as a threat in fear that he might start a World War III. Although he was treated like a great and dangerous person of higher power, Lenin had also gave improvement to life in Russia since his revolution in
However, the question of whether he was a hero who toppled an oppressive tyranny, or a villain who replaced it with another remains a controversial one today. In 1917, Lenin helped overthrow the Russian tsar Nicholas II, and founded the Soviet Union. On October 1917, after the victory of the Russian Revolution, Lenin did not have a clear image on socialism, or how it meant to be built. He was, however, able to state the three principal characteristics of socialism, which were the public ownership of the means of production, an end to exploitation, and the dictatorship of the proletariat. He did not take action on these points, and did not devote much attention to socialism as he felt it was not yet an immediate issue.
It was during this time that he adopted the pseudonym Lenin. Eventually Lenin returned to Russia from exile. He also organized a lot of protests and speeches against the czar and the czar’s government. In 1905, a demonstration went badly when the czar's soldiers attacked the protesters. This protest made many Russians unhappy with their leader, which is what Lenin wanted to prepare the country for his revolution.
