"Villains!" I shrieked, "dissemble no more! I admit the deed!--tear up the planks!--here, here!--it is the beating of his hideous heart!" They quickly removed the planks from the walls to find the beating of the hideous bloody red heart, but whose heart was it?
It was a late October day in 1984 when I arrived at the Perry Bed and Breakfast. I was quickly greeted by the owner Mrs. Perry “I will be staying for two weeks, is that okay?” I asked. “That's quite fine,” she replied. She quickly helped me get settled into my room, room 4A. As the time of my stay at the Perry Bed and Breakfast grew on so did my suspicion. It all started late one night when I heard a strange noise coming from the down the hall in room 2A. I quietly almost creep like peeked out of my door to look down the hall. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary so, I closed the door and went back to sleep.
The next night around the same time as the night before I heard another strange noise, but this time coming for room 2B. I quickly jumped out of bed and peeked out the door, nothing again, so I walked down the hall to room 2B, and turned the knob. The door slowly creeped open so I entered the room. I walked down to room 3B and quietly opened the door. Again nothing, but before leaving I heard the strange noise again. It sounded like it was coming from the wall. I carefully placed my ear against the wall the strange noise grew louder and louder and slower and slower. As I pushed my ear closer towards the wall I heard the noise again, but this time I heard THUMP, THUMP, THUMP. It sounded exactly like a beating heart. Startled, I quickly jumped away from the wall, then again I placed my ear on the wall and nothing the sound had totally faded
