Dystopian novels portrayed with different features. There are two novels 1984 and Lord of the flies share numerous the similarities and differences. The two novels display their similarities and differences in three aspects. The two dystopian kinds of literature have the connection which is both focus on the psychological description, yet two novels depict events that contain different mood and begin with a divergent setting.

The Lord of the Flies and 1984 is tending to write on the psychological description of the main character. In the novel Lord of the flies, Golding adopts a unique characterization method. He combines symbolism and realism to create the character trait, such as the conch, is one of the important symbols, the conch represents order and rights. It also is indicative of civilized behaviour. In addition, he portrays the character in such young age, but in some cases, they react much older than they should be.
