How would you feel if someone is watching you every day of your life? In the world that we live in today the United states has more power from the government then a lot of people may think. George Orwell in the novel 1984 claims that everything that we do that big brother is watching us. Orwell supports his claim by making the people of INGSOC that war is peace, Freedom is Slavery, and ignorance is strength. Oceania the fictional country in the novel 1984, Big Brother the god that everyone looked up to and his government had a strong power over all of his people. He had a surveillance system in something called a telescreen. This was an amazing device that was in everyone's home that could watch them while they're inside and they could only turn it off for 30 minutes. In the world 30 million surveillance cameras are in the United States Alone watching up to 4 Billion hours of footage over the citizens. It is a thinking device that happens to make calls “Let’s stop calling them phones stop calling them phone. They are tackers.
