He is a hero archetype who sacrifices himself in experiencing the Hero’s Journey for the benefit of all people. In the Ordinary World which is revealed at 58:18 of the film, Nameless is a man from Zhao. With his unique skills of sword fighting, he wanted to assassinate the King of Quin to revenge for his family that was killed by Quin soldiers.
Damien Chazelle’s American musical film, La La Land (2016), with Director of Photography Linus Sandgren, won about six awards at the Oscars. One of the awards they received is in the Cinematography category. I personally agree with this voting because this beautifully-made film shows, not tells, the story. In the beginning of the film, the viewers see the story from Mia’s point of view, but the story later goes back and switches to Sebastian’s point of view.

The Revenant is a novel by Michael Punke originally published in 2002. Punke’s story is one of history, and it has been previously adapted into a movie in 1971 titled, Man in the Wilderness. All media and book did not stick to the original historical figure of Hugh Glass. Most recent adaptation in 2015 by Alejandro G. Iñárritu. Despite the fact that the movie was made famous based on inaccuracy of the actual true story, it still presents wonderful cinematography.

What does director Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (1994), directed by Kenneth Branagh, have in common— a mutual underlying story; but their differences are what makes their tales all the more special.
