I’m trying to swim here.” From that point on, she is his clownish sidekick accompanying him on the journey to find his lost son, Nemo. Her perpetual optimism shines when Marlin
Marlin met Dory first, a forgetful fish who helped Marlin learn patience and freedom. Marlin’s greatest fear was that Nemo was dead or gone forever. On the way to save Nemo, Marlin faced other difficulties. When Marlin found a way to allow freedom and fun back into his adventure, he began to understand the helpers and tests he endured. Marlin’s worst fear was resolved when Nemo found his way out of captivity.
I got from the JotH, “Finding Nemo” was about Marlin learning to let Nemo grow up, and accept his coming of age. Marlin uses help from a fish with short term memory loss(Dory). He learns that he needs to “Loosen up” when it comes to his son. “The call to adventure” was present at the very
Throughout Richard Adams' book Watership Down, the rabbits of Watership Down encounter two other warrens. Hazel and his followers are able to strengthen their small warren by borrowing ideas from Cowslip's warren and Efrafa. From Cowslip's warren, Watership Down copies an architectural design and also realizes the importance of religion. Efrafa unknowingly teaches Hazel and his comrades the significance of freedom and a few military techniques. Watership Down, a developing warren, also interbreeds with the already established warren of Efrafa.

While on a field trip, Nemo and his friends wander off on their own towards an anchored boat. Meanwhile, they start to dare each other to touch this boat. Although Nemo is warned by his father, he did not stop. Suddenly, a diver appears; he traps
I choose Captain Nemo because he is a dynamic character that is full of depth and intelligence. He was an Indian prince that lost his family and his kingdom because of British imperialism. In his sadness he as turned to living under the ocean in his submarine and studying science. Captain Nemo seems to enjoy teaching Professor Aronnax about what he has learned about the ocean, science, and mankind. Captain Nemo is full of hatred and thinks vengeance on those he feels have wronged him.
Whether it be through character, symbolic, or situational archetypes. Finding Nemo uses character archetypes to help advance the understanding of the movie by providing the audience with a better and deeper understanding of the characters. Finding Nemo has three main and crucial characters they are Marlin our hero, Dory the mentor, and Nemo the damsel in distress. Marlin is a clownfish who had a very traumatic event happen to him, that prompts his quest and journey. Marlin and his wife Coral had just become parents after finding a home for their eggs.
What nemo didn't know is that it belonged to divers who were there to collect fish, nemo finds himself kidnapped by the divers and split away from his father. Due to the fact that Marlin had a very strong emotional tie to his only child (last thing to remember his wife by) he sets a journey to track down his son with the help of a new a friend, a blue tang called Dory that suffers from short term memory loss. The directors of this film have found numerous ways to tie in many themes such as love and friendship that is easily caught by the viewers, for example after hearing Marlin’s story, Dory finds it upon herself to do a good deed and help this new found friend in the search to find his son. The writers of this film have made very strong connections with the audience by showing the audience that even newly found strangers can potentially be friends and help each other out despite their differences for example, while being captive in the office fish tank Nemo the lonely clown fish gets accepted into the fish tank gang after he proves himself to them by being an important asset when coming up with an escape plan.
Viking long-ships were lean, speedy, lightweight ships that could easily cut through the most vicious waves that the ocean could throw at them. At the time, no other civilization had been able to achieve such an amazing naval feat, so this gave the Vikings a great advantage over medieval combat, political affairs, and even the trading industry. Since the ships were so fast, the ships were great for transportation of soldiers, or merchandise. “The Viking longboat was the key to the Vikings success in traveling.” (Legends and Chronicles, Paragraph 14).
He believes that he should have the freedom to shoot whatever he wants and do whatever he pleases. Alex cannot stay in one place for a long period of time so he starts going on foot onto his next adventure. After a month walking through the woods and
There is a specific scene in the movie where its Nemo’s first day of school, you can tell through the tone of his voice and the facial expressions that he is making that his is very excited to finally be going to school, his dad Marlin on the other had is dreading having his only son go to school. Nemo at one point slips out of the anemone and you automatically see the change of facial expressions in Marlin. He quickly gets up to make sure his son is ok and starts frantically asking him questions, mind you nothing is wrong with Nemo but this the first encounter between the two and you automatically see how protective he is for his son. Another great example of great dialogue and facial expressions is when he finds out that the kids are going to “The Drop-off” with their class. He gets frantic starts making comments like “are you insane?”
Every novel or stories gives a fundamental ideas or lesson for the readers. Most of the lesson are informative and it brings a changes to the readers mind. There will be a universal of an ideas explored in a literature and readers can abstract numerous themes depending on each individual. Similarly, in the novel “the old man and the sea” Hemingway depicted several themes related to nature, people and so on. However determination can also be one of the theme for the readers because the old man, Santiago didn’t gave up fishing even if he had cramp but he took this as an encouragement in his old age.
The three challenged Nemo to get closer to the boat but Nemo declined and said his dad told him the ocean was dangerous. Marlin arrived just in time and thought that Nemo was going to swim off in to the ocean. Although Nemo and his friends denied the statement, Marlin didn’t believe
Hemingway presents the elements of failure and suffering in The Old Man and the Sea by depicting several instances of suffering and failure which the Old Man, Santiago, has to go through throughout the course of the novel. According to Hemingway, life is just one big struggle. In the beginning of the novel itself, The Old Man, is presented as a somewhat frail old man who is still struggling with his life as well as his past failures. His skiff even had a sail which bore great resemblance to “the flag of permanent defeat”, with its multiple patches all over.
