The event industry is an all-encompassing industry based around planning and staging events to meet the desires and goals of the event stakeholders. All over the event industry, event planners need to be able to gauge the success and the procedures used during the event planning process, which is the reasoning behind the deployment of an event audit. For the purpose of this assignment, the 2015 Funk Fest-Charlotte will be audited to gauge the success and areas of improvement that may be required in the future.

The various price points enabled the organizers to reach every income level while maintaining the ability to generate enough revenue to stage and turn a profit for the event. The card included various artist ranging a wide musical demographic; the opening acts come on stage at 3 pm, and the main show started at 4 pm. The event was scheduled to end around 11pm, but the schedule was reduced because the rain cause some of the sets to be cut short. The reasoning behind the cutting of the sets was to ensure the sound ordinance laws was not broken, which requires the show to end at 11 pm. The vendors were located in an open area outside of the main stage area, which keeps the pedestrian traffic to flow and not cause any bottlenecks. Once the patrons enter grounds, there was not plenty of workers pointing out the parking lots because of the rain. When existing the venue it was hard to the parking attendants to guide everyone to the exits, so the exits planning could use improvement. The security was not well placed throughout the festival, due to the rain which had them confined to tent areas. ADA accommodation were up to the national standards required of the facilities of this nature. There was also ADA sections available for the fans to sit with the fans who required that type of
