The Constitution works because it created a government that was both strong and flexible. It tells what the government should be doing with the 3 branches. The Constitution keeps everyone’s rights and keeps everyone equal. The laws are fair for everyone and the people that don’t like it are most likely greedy. The legislative branch is the branch that gets power from the Constitution to create laws. The Constitution created a bicameral congress. Congress have two houses, one is the Senate and the other is the House of Representatives. The members from the Senate can serve for a 6 year period, and the members of the house can serve for a 2 year period. The Constitution tries to balance the independence and thoughtfulness of the Senate with the House to change the voters wishes. The Congress also balances out the rights of the big states to the small states. There are age requirements to be in the Congress or the Senate. To work in Senate you must be at the age of 30, and to be a House member, 25 would be the age of consent. The job of the Congress is to create laws. The choice that the appellate court made can be appealed to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is the final destination of the judicial system. The Supreme Court looks at many cases that may involve or conflict with Constitution, but not until after the lower courts have looked at it. The only time that a case will go straight to the Supreme Court would be if it involves a state or an ambassador from another
