I will make A’s in all my classes. 2/17/2017 I will use TCC electronic systems to help accomplish this goal. I will also have to set short and long term goals as well as practice writing essay exams. I will create study/homework blocks of time for myself and my son.
I also want to learn more about Social Studies, Math, Science, and ELA. My third and most important goal is to just have fun. I want to enjoy every minute of high school. My last goal can not be completed without doing my first two goals. Hopefully I will be able to achieve all three of my goals while in high school.
Anh T Vo Dr. Oxendine Engl 1301-81057 18 December, 2015 Reflection Before my English 1301 class started, I made a commitment for myself that I would get an A in this class. In order to achieve this goal, I make some short-term goals, try my best, and consider my behavior. All actions and thoughts, which I have made in this course, give me a fresh result as the end of the semester is coming. Being an ambitious student offers me opportunities to keep encourage myself study hard and believe that my effort will be paid off. Before this course started, I bought a required book.
Ramapo Mountain would have been one of the first racially integrated communities in the United States. Sadly, in 1972 the project was rejected. Although the Civil Rights Act had been passed eight years prior, the country as a whole was not yet ready for radical change. My grandfather, the man behind Ramapo Mountain, has always told me that true transformation takes years; and that truism has borne itself out in my high school career. Ninth grade was a particularly difficult year for me, both academically and personally.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) This was the Bible verse Tim Tebow had written on his eye black for the Bowl Championship Series title game on January 8th, 2009 when the Florida Gators won 24-14. In Tim Tebow’s memoir, Through My Eyes: A Quarterback 's Journey, he gives great insight about his childhood and upbringing being a religious star college football quarterback. I took this position because it gave me a contrasting perspective on life, especially when I found out he had memorized various Bible quotes and how he interconnected them to everyday life.
This goal should be obtained during multiple time milestones throughout my life. Working hard in high school will be obtained by the end of every year. I can use this to predict it for the rest of my life. Another major time period would be at the end of high school and college. Once I find a career, I will reevaluate after the first year.
When assignments and test/quiz material became available, I always kept note of the work and began preparing my study material and practiced. Once finished with the assignment, I would go back several times and reread it and compare it to the grading rubric. This presents my personal perfectionism and concern to the task at hand. (warrant) My biggest downfall this semester would be my lack of vocal participation within the classroom.
My goal is to get a B in that class and I am very confident I can achieve that. 3. I think I should be able to handle the workload this semester well. It’s pretty much what I was expecting when I decide to attend college. 4.
Ciara’s goal: To get good grades in both classes Dated: I want to reach my goal by 08.12.2016 Achievable: This is an achievable goal because I will work hard to finish all of my assignments the day that they are given. As well as turn them in head of the due date to insure that they are in on time. Personal: This will help me to keep my GPA up high so that I can have a better chance of being accepted to a nursing program the first time I apply.
In the summer of 2014, I woke up to see pictures and videos posted all over social media. The videos captured the senseless moment and pictures of protesters with the hashtag, “Mike Brown”. I had no clue about what had taken place the day before in Ferguson, Missouri. My current residence is about thirty minutes away from Ferguson and when I finally read the full story I was very hurt and angry. This event hit so close to home, I never really thought much about the fact that something like this could happen somewhere close to me.
This is a learning community for STEM majors; they have a guide set for students to follow for a less stressful college experience. Each semester I will be sure to pass all classes while maintaining a GPA of 3.5. My reasons for creating these goals is to hold myself accountable for my future career plans.
Throughout the entire course I stressed myself to get my assignments done as quickly as possible. I had the mindset that I would not accept anything lower than a letter grade of C because that is just how I was raised. As a result, I just caused myself to become even more stressed by doing something I was not even capable of because I already had 5 classes I was taking and a full-time job. I realized that in order to succeed I had to be aware and acknowledge my own potential. I learned that in some situations it is just best to settle for what is good for one’s self and that it is okay to not meet other people’s
Academic Goal The academic goal I have set forth is to do my very best in all my courses only A’s and B’s. This way I will have increased my odds in being accepted into multiple nursing programs so I can take the right step in achieving my first career goal as an ER rn . I believe this is a realistic goal as long I apply myself and stay dedicated I know I can reach that goal.
and I managed to pass the class with a B. My weakness this year was probably not having enough sleep. I get cranky when I don’t get enough sleep, and I realized I can’t focus when I’m in class. My strength this year was probably becoming more organized and setting a specific schedule for myself everyday. Since I have to work, I need to make specific time for my homework. I also need to have specific time to shower and get ready for school in the morning.
When I graduate high school, I plan on having future goals that I plan on achieving. My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan on attending Purdue NorthWest majoring in engineering and minoring in business. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family.
