From four member Australian pop sensation, 5 Seconds of Summer, to five member Korean boy group, Big Bang, artists have been able to capture the hearts of both girls and boys by their stage performances and lyrics. Although both American and Korean groups have an army of admirers that will support them to the end, their concert experiences and music genres are nothing alike. 5 Seconds of Summer debuted in 2011 with their Unplugged EP. They debuted in 2010 with album, Big Bang Volume 1, and their music includes several different genres from pop to hip hop. Majority of their songs contain certain choreographies; fans are dedicated enough to take the time to learn the dance so they can dance along with the group. Their concerts include strobe lights, fog, intense synchronized dancing, fan engagements, and organized fan chants. Not to mention, all fans can purchase specific light sticks to wave in beat of songs during performances, lighting up the entire audience in a pool of light. Although Big Bang was created in South Korea, they have a variety of fans from all over the world and perform in several different countries. Another Korean boy band taking the world by storm is the unique seven member group Bangtan Boys (BTS). BTS stands for Bangtan Boys and they offer many stories through their lyrics. They released their debut album, 2 Cool 4 Skool, in 2013. They gained an immense amount of popularity in between 2015 and 2016 when they released their trilogy, “The Most Beautiful Moments in Life.” Their concert experiences include synchronized dances, fan chants, fan service, and many other amazing experience elements fans go crazy over.
