Two sisters, Ashley and Bethany, were bored in their tiny little room, they felt very crowded, as if every second they wanted to get out more and more. Ashley finally asked, “do you want to go outside in the woods? “Don’t you think it’s dangerous?” “No, are you scared?” “No…” “Then let’s go.” “Ok…” The two sisters went outside to play hide and seek. The woods behind their backyard were huge, so they didn’t go very far out. The trees blocked off most of the light from the sun and there was an eerie silence. They were about to start playing hide and seek, when they heard a distant beat of some drums. They followed the sound until they found a little girl pounding on a drum. Then the mother said “ If you two keep acting this way, I will leave and a monster will take my place. It will have glassy eyes, a dog’s body, and a scorpion’s tail waiting for you.” Of course the girls didn’t believe this, so they ran back into the woods and searched for the little girl. The girl explained to them, “You will have to be a bit worse”. Then they went back home and the next day they were as bad as could be. This time their mother said nothing and had a depressed look on her face. They went to the woods and met the girl. The girl told them “I was never going to give this drum to you, It was just a game”. They went back home and saw a monster with glassy eyes, a dog’s body and a scorpion’s tail when their mother was nowhere in sight. They ran back to the woods, and the girl was nowhere in sight, and they could hear the distant beat of a drum. The two girls tried to go see where it was coming from, but it seemed to come from every direction. The woods seemed a lot darker now, They heard a low growling noise from behind them, and then they turned around and remembered their new “mom”. They started running, and they heard that “she” was really close behind them and she was gaining on
