Imagine that you live in an airport. You lost everything in your life. You would have to hide from everyone and sleep in diffrent places. In the short story Fly Away Home by Eve Bunting, Andrew wants a better life than living in a airport. From the short story I came to think that he is hopeful, kind, and smart. Above all, Andrew wants a perfect life. Not a terrible life. To begin with, Andrew wants a better life because, he is hopeful. One reason why he´s hopeful is that he wants to leave the airport and have his own house. According to the text, Andrew gives money to his dad, who lost his wife, to help him buy a house. This is significant because, he is eager to live in a place to call home. I wonder if he gives all his money to his dad or if he keeps some to himself. Another reason why he is hopeful is that he wants to be a normal kid. Based on what I learned, Andrew feels like he is a poor kid and not a normal person. He wants friends, his mom and a house. A lot of other people would feel the same way as Andrew if they were homeless. This all goes to show that Andrew is hopeful about having a better life. …show more content…

One reason is that he helps others when they're struggling. For Instance, Andrew exclaimed,¨I'm saving money too.¨ Then He lifts one foot high in the air to show his dad. Just from that part of the story, you can tell that he is kind. Another piece of evidence why he helps people who are struggling is that Andrew tells His friend Denny, who also lives in the airport with his mom and his grandma, that if Andrew and his dad get a house then Denny, Denny´s mom and his grandma, can live with Andrew and his father. A second reason why he is kind is that is selfish. He wants to help Denny and his family and father so that they can have a happy normal life. This implies that Andrew is kind.
