The question about right and wrong was really interesting because this has been discussed way back such as when the atomic bombs were dropped in the Japanese cities. Back then it was a question of does the end justify the means. Both situations had to do with was right and wrong, obviously both circumstances carried/carry a lot of controversy with them. The short term effects of this example, which I believe where driving Jim Rome’s thoughts, tend to make you believe that what Adrian Peterson did was awful and immoral. However by taking an additional step and deeply analyze the situation, the long term effects allow people to now further comprehend what drove Adrian Peterson at the moment of the incident. The video is slightly giving an edge to Peterson’s case because of the use of the testimonial technique which brings a very powerful and well-known figure to defend his actions. However the use of Name Calling adds an extra punch to Rome’s argument. By using such powerful words like abuse and beating places Adrian under the category of child abuser. As of December 12th 2014, Adrian Peterson has released numerous public apologies stating that he went overboard and committed a mistake but he truly loves his family and kids.
