To silence the rebellion, the Capitol decides to hold a special edition of the games, called the Quarter Quell. In this special edition, previous winners must play in the Hunger Games again.

In Mockingjay, main character Katniss Everdeen finds herself benthe the ground living in District 13 after her district 12 home was destroyed by the Capitol. Along with this, Katniss's love and partner from the hunger games, Peeta Mellark, was captured and brainwashed by President Snow. Katniss decides to take on a role as the face of a rebellion formed by people of the districts to fight against the Capitol for a better way of life. Katniss becomes the mockingjay, originally leading this rebellion by shooting propos but later becomes a soldier in a huge war forged by the Capitol and the rebels that is eventually won by the rebels.
In the Novel “The Hunger Games Catching Fire” Many New things have occurred but some parts of the book really surprised me. In chapter 9 to 14 it explains on how Katniss wants to run away from the district with Peeta and Haymitch but right before the day they are going to run something bad happens. On that day Gale is found on the ground half dead and being beat by someone. Katniss tries to save Gale but ends up being whipped by the rope across the cheek. Peeta and Haymitch help Gale up from the ground and quickly takes home to Katniss’s house.

The two victors were chosen for the previous annual hunger games, because of tribute Katniss' stunt with the poisonous berries. It all start of the day of the reaping. Katniss Everdeen is the protagonist and she lives with her mother and sister Prim, but not her father in which he died in an explosion in a mining hole. Katniss is in district twelve, a district of twelve that is a part of the country Panem. In my mind, she is a criminal because she goes outside the district with her partner Gale to hunt and sell wild animals in the Hob. Every year the Capitol host a game once a year called The Hunger Games in which two tributes (a boy and a girl) in every district.

Again this happens to Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark for the Quarter Quell which happens every 25 years and this year the winners of each district get picked divided to do the games once again, just another way for the capitol to get their revenge. For this book, I will be exploring how Katniss changes throughout the book, the theme of the overall book, and how Katniss makes it in the games once again.
On the other hand, there is Capitol who has political control in the nation of panem. The story starts when each district must offer a male and female between the ages of 12-18 at a public reaping as a penance for their uprising. The tributes which are male and female shall be delivered to the Capitol and then transferred to a public arena where they will fight with other district until a lone victor remains. This tradition called the hunger games. The story centers was coming from poor district 12 where Katniss and Peeta as their tributes.

One theme in this story that is shown is that family love can go along way, this is shown because she is very overprotective of Prim.
