I am a Master of Public Policy candidate at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy interested in the Associate Consultant position at Bain & Company. With the information from University of Chicago Consulting Club, I am extremely impressed with Bain’s working environment as the #1 best firm to work for, as well as the opportunity to learn from both the team and Bain’s industry leading clients. I believe that the Bain & Company has the ideal culture in which to pursue my goal of becoming a strategic business leader and thinker.

My entrepreneurial experience as a founder and CEO of Kop Technology Company has prepared me for consulting’s client-oriented role. I stood on the customer’s perspective to understand what do they want, and developed my product based on their needs in order to gain their trust. My economics studies in my undergraduate have provided me with analytical skills which I can apply to diverse business scenarios. While I was a director at Hillsun Group, it gave me the special opportunity to engage in high level business discussions with senior executives across industries. One hotel CEO of asked me if I have a way to increase hotel’s daily occupancy rate, I analyzed the pros and cons of this hotel, and realized this hotel has one advantage by located near the airport. Thus, I coordinated a long-term contract with Asiana Airlines that all their crew members will exclusively stay in this hotel, this contract resulted an increase in hotel’s daily occupancy rate by 10%. Afterwards, one CEO of the department store was struggling to bring in new brands to target young customers, therefore, I utilized my social networks and brought several Korean leading brands such as McGinn from AIOLI Group, and dramatically increased department store
