Oftentimes, society associates maturity with those who have lived many years and experienced more of life. But, this is not always the case. It is completely unnessacery to have lived a certain number of years to be considered mature because of the devote maturity children can show and suprising lack of maturity that even the oldest posess. Despite their youth, children can demonstrate just as much maturity as adults. In the show Gilmore Girls, the main character, Rory, is only 15 while her mom is 30. As they are faced with life’s challenges, Rory oftentimes has to step up and support her mother emotionally and physically.
