The Alley Theatre’s production of ‘A Christmas Carol’ shows that the spirit of Christmas is alive and well in Houston. The mere existence of this year’s show is glorious. It’s the Alley’s thirtieth season producing ‘A Christmas Carol.’ But it almost didn’t happen. Buffalo Bayou made a surprise guest appearance at the Alley during hurricane Harvey. The building took on about four million gallons of water. While the underground Neuhaus stage is still a construction zone, audience members cannot see how hard the Alley was hit when they watch ‘A Christmas Carol’ on the upstairs Hubbard stage.
