A Christmas Carol Play Analysis

Contrasting and Comparing

You may think the play and movie of “A Christmas Carol” are the same. Well you are quite mistaken. In the Play and Movie they are very different from each other. From watching the movie and reading the play the Climax, the Conflict, and the resolution are different from each other.

In the play A Christmas Carol Mr scrooge is visited by jacob marley, his old but dead partner. He tells scrooge to get his act up or he will turn out to be like him. He marley told he would be visited by three ghost.(Dickens 8) When the clock strikes he is visited by the ghost of christmas past he shows scrooge his past from when he was a little boy to when he was an apprentice at a warehouse. On christmas morning he is awoken by sounds of the ringing bell he is confused because it was just 12:00 than 1:00 o'clock. He dances around in glee that he was back home and was continually nice to all of the people he had scared.(Video 1984) He went to his nephew's party and bought a very large turkey for Mr. Cratchit and his family.
