Themes of A Christmas Carol Stave 1 In the first stave of the Christmas Carol Scrooge expresses all kinds of different bad emotions. I am going to talk about how he acted greedy. Scrooge always wanted what he could get. On page twelve it shows him being greedy. Scrooge, a day before they had the big meeting gave an offer to gentlemen for something low price. The gentlemen did not take it at that time but at the meeting they told Scrooge they would take it and he said too late. Scrooge gave them a new offer but more expensive so he would get more money. Scrooge always wants things for himself to be more rich. Stave 2 In the second stave the ghost of the past comes. Scrooge shows sadness/ madness in the second stave. Scrooge gets to go back and see parts of his childhood. Scrooge was happy to see parts of is childhood, but he saw that he didn’t have a good life. Scrooge was left at the school till he grew old because of his father. Scrooge is very sad being alone when he was young and that his father was really mean to him. …show more content…

Seeing tiny tim made Scrooge have regret. Scrooge regrets the payment he gives to Mr. Cratchit. Since Mr. Cratchit doesn’t get paid that well tiny tim is going to die. The Cratchits don’t have enough money to pay for the cure for tiny tim. Scrooge is have huge regrets about this. Scrooge is now starting to worry that he will be like those people if he loses his wealth. Stave
