A Comparison Of Course It Was Made By Kids And Avery's Gift

The story “Avery’s Gift” and “Chicken of the Sea is so Wacky-- Of Course it was Made by Kids” are both extremely heartwarming, captivating stories. In both of these stories, Young kids, Avery and Ellison, want to create something they’ve been dreaming about, and were assisted by their fathers. Avery’s father in the story “Avery’s Gift” is very similar to Ellison’s father in the story, “Chicken of The Sea is so Wacky-- Of Course it was Made By Kids” because they both wanted to assist their children in making their thoughts become reality and they both stayed with them the entire time.
Avery’s Father and Ellison’s Father both helped their kids in creating works of art to make others joyful. For example, In “Chicken of The Sea is so Wacky-- Of Course it Was Made by Kids,” while the author was talking about Viet Nguyen, Ellison's father, it says, “The project became a multi-generational collaboration. Ellison’s dad… Helped him with the story...Viet Nguyen says he loved working with his son Ellison on the book,” (Balaban 3 & 9).
