In my essay I shall be discussing two educational theorist’s that involve an in-depth study and comparison of the two educational theorists. The two educational theorists I have studied in order to complete this essay is a German educational theorist called Frederick Froebel and an Italian educational theorists called Maria Montessori. I shall be discussing these two educational theorists in the context of their philosophy, their contribution to early childhood education in terms of their approach and their contribution to early childhood education in terms of their implementation.

She had a very supportive parents whenever it came to Maria’s professional career. Maria’s parents are very well education which is impressive due to being in Maria’s time. Montessori wouldn’t conform to the traditional female career she wanted to become a doctor. In eighteenth ninety Maria enrolled at the University of Rome studying the subjects natural sciences, maths and physics. On the tenth of July eighteenth ninety six Maria achieved the status of the first women to graduate from the University of Rome and qualifying as a doctor. Maria’s first job was working in insane asylums and psychiatric clinic in Rome . Similarly Marie Montessori Philosophy believes that they must aide the child reach its full potential in life. That children develop and think differently from adults was a radical view for Maria’s time.
Froebel’s philosophy for teaching children is that their education should be completely integrated coherent pedagogical approach. Froebel also argues the point is that we should acknowledge the past ideas as it’s is from those past ideas new growth occurs.
