This article “Moving beyond the Emphasis on Bullying: A Generalized Approach to Peer Aggression in High School” is based on the experiment that the authors created in order to understand the phenomenon of bullying better. They not only wanted to have a sample big enough to demonstrate how peer aggression has been an issue within the walls of high schools, but they were also concerned about how people define it. The experiment took place in a high school in New Jersey and the sample was composed of eight-hundred and ten students. They were asked to express their genders, if they had been victims of peer aggression, if they had been the aggressor, and if any of these happened how often it occurred. The article “Moving beyond the Emphasis on Bullying: A Generalized Approach to Peer Aggression in High School” is a perfect example to apply this particular theory. As a matter of fact, these adolescents, who were in high school and were confessing how they have dealt with aggression, will be the exact same people that will teach their children how to live well and happily at this world. Therefore, they should be the first ones to understand how to engage in relationships that will give them good results back and that will be the reasons of personal great actions in the future. Aggression, according to the article, has been an issue and I think I can see the reason why: people never justify each other’s thoughts or actions. In my opinion, it is a circle: when the first person commits violence (either physically or verbally) on someone, then that same first person will be also the cause of the second person’s aggression on the third subject. This is the power of relationships: we never know where they start, but we should always know they have smaller and bigger impact on the environment and people around
