Literary Analysis Final of “The Sniper”

“What a cruel thing is war : to separate and and destroy families and friends,” by Robert E. Lee. In the book, “The Sniper” the sniper is a guy battling in the middle of war. He decides to take a risk while being watched, and get shot by his enemy. soon, the sniper gets back up on his feet and starts fighting back. The sniper grabbed his gun and is motivated to kill his enemy. After killing two people, the sniper shot his enemy and wins. The sniper is so relieved and excited that he killed his enemy, he started to become curious to see who it was. When he reached his enemy dead on the ground, it was his brother. This is where the quote comes in and goes with the story. When people reach the end they feel relieved that they have accomplished their goal. In the book, the sniper realised motivation and relief leads up to sadness in some situations. In the story, the sniper was motivated to kill his enemy. He is watching on the rooftop trying to spot his enemy, but suddenly gets shot. The sniper keeps on moving through, motivated to sniper kills his enemy and is relieved.He decides to go take a peek at his enemy and realises it was his brother. The sniper quickly became sad. Relief and motivation create sadness. “The Sniper” the story story, shows us that being motivated can lead to relief and being rewarded or it can end up being sad and lead to regrets. In the beginning of the story, the sniper was motivated to kill his enemy. Which lead to relief since he had ended up killing his enemy. In this story being motivated and killing his enemy created sadness, because his enemy was his brother. We can learn a lesson from the snipers experience in this story, by being ready for either result of
