Analysis on the Theme of A Long Way Gone and Sold
Child sex slaves and child soldiers are just two examples of child exploitation. Sold, written by Patricia McCormick, describes the life of an impoverished young girl who is unknowingly sold into sex slavery. A Long Way Gone, written by Ishmael Beah, tells the story of a young man recruited by the Sierra Leone government to fight in the Sierra Leone civil war.
