What does it mean to be kind? Kindness is a choice, it’s something you can choose to “put on” everyday. Kindness is love in action, it is something that you do, it’s a practical expression of love. It’s visible and active, not just emotional. In Gabriel’s story a man with enormous wings helps Pelayo and Elisenda with money problems. “Although many thought that his reaction had not been one of rage but of pain.” (Marquez Pg. 8) After a while the man was the spotlight for the show so Pelayo and Elisenda can earn money. As time passed by there was a new eye catching person who took the man with the wings place. People treated the man if he had no feelings, it took them awhile that he did after all. They threw him stones, fed him moth moth balls, “which according to the wisdom of the wise neighbor women, were the food prescribed for angels.” (Marquez story)
It is sad how people in this story can be treat such person in a cruelty manner. …show more content…

Even if you never see a person you have treated with rudeness or bad behavior again, you will know. It will be on your mind and heart when you walk into a room and try to convince the people in the room they should put their faith in you. Your belief in yourself will be compromised and the negative energy you carry with you will ultimately manifest in some way to your disadvantage. Kindness is the single most important factor to success in my life. Building strong personal alliances, mending bruised spirits, and taking unfamiliar people by surprise are just a few of the benefits of kindness. I feel that nearly all of the friends have in my life I have made through was the act of kindness. No one wants to hang around with people who put him or her down, calls them names, or mistreats
