Defining a project is one of the single best ways to develop our body of work. While this project i made a commitment to set goals, set quotas, set timelines, create a useful structure for images, collect accompanying materials, and polish the presentation of my efforts so that they will be well received. For me a personal project is a project which reflects your interest, gives you a chance to upgrade yourself in a certain area or subject, it enhanced my skills and moreover is meant for us to explore our creativity. It aims for a tangible outcome that will benefit the society.

A garment. My personal project was involved in two AOIs: Technology and Arts. The reason my project was relevant to these two AOIs is because before I actually sewed appliques to the dress, I needed to think about fashion styles and draw a draft for the dress, so it needed arts skills to complete it. Then I started my research over the Latest fashion trends and what actually fashion is about. I was inspired by the colour and texture of flowers which ended up becoming the focus and inspiration for my garment. In the world today there are ample amount of fashion trends, styles and themes. Amongst which my garment have to be unique. With over a trillion of designs something unique is expected out of my garment. Thinking of my inspiration was the most difficult job as previously I was so fascinated by leheriya cloth and Rajasthani wear. In order to gain multiple techniques and successfully complete my personal project, I searched all information I could use to develop my project. I had looked through books, web, and asked other individuals who are experienced. I eventually found numerous resources and learned from them. I researched about various fashion and dress styles, and I was inspired by many of them. Like books I borrowed from library, Contemporary fashion illustration techniques, Fashion Illustration: Inspiration and Technique, and Vogue Fashion: Over 100 years of style by decade and designer, in association with Vogue. They contains hundreds of fashion styles, and illustrates out the styles of modern fashion and how people are able to find their inspiration and actualize it and also teaches people very detailed methods of drawing bodies and translating the real cloth to a designing draft on a piece of paper. They also includes famous designer and normal consumers’ opinion of fashions, which gave me lots of inspiration. I also looked up different materials of clothes. I found some websites that tell people details about how you should choose fabrics and differences between every fabric. After I had a rough idea about uses of different fabrics. .
