This article uses quotes from customers that have bought MagnaSoles, subtle jokes and puns, and the over exaggeration of the sciences implemented by Magnasoles. The article is rampant with subtle hints, jokes, and puns that key the reader in that this article is a joke. With the use of "pseudoscientists" and "pseudoscience" used throughout the article, as well as the "scientific-sounding literature", this is an indicator that this is not real science talking. Extra -Gum Advertisement The purpose of this commercial is to encourage the viewer to realize the importance of a stick of Extra gum in their life. The commercial begins with a tender moment between a new father and his young daughter as he chews a piece of Extra gum and makes an origami bird out of the wrapper. The father’s act of giving an origami gum wrapper to his daughter is repeated through different stages of the daughter’s life: at her birthday, at the beach, at the ball game, at the house with a date, and an emotional moment ending with the father’s discovery that she has always kept the origami birds in a special box. The audience of this commercial is everybody who are chewing gum and there is no age limit.

In this essay I will be writing about Blaise Pascal, a mathematician and French philosopher whose work became very popular due to his "Wager". Pascal's argument in his essay "The Wager" states that any rational human should believe in God. He states that regardless of whether or not God exists, the option of believing yields the greatest benefit and the least loss out of all the possibilities. In believing in God, one can receive infinite gain which is heaven, if God exist, and would only have finite losses if God does not exist. However, he shares that if one was to bet against god, if one wins or loses, the individual would either gain an insignificant finite if God does not exist, or lose everything if God does exist which would lead to going to Hell.
The different environments and situations exhibit that everybody is diverse, yet equal. The scene with the puppy and another scene where a father and his young daughter ask Google what sound a whale makes, are especially heart-melting. Although many believe money is not necessary to be happy Hazlitt provides his audience with a substantial argument that money is needed to live happily. The first thing that people are drawn to is The Hulk’s incredibly strong and large hand considering that The Hulk is a worldwide known superhero that is recognized for his strength. The ad does a good job appealing to pathos because many people, especially kids admire The Hulk’s capabilities and therefore they think of positive things whenever they see this depiction.

Can money bring you happiness: many Americans believe that having lots of money can bring happiness? However one writer, Gregg Easterbrook, in his article, “The Real Truth about Money,” promotes that having a lot of money in your pocket doesn’t bring happiness in this world. He writes this article to persuade his audience that money doesn’t bring happiness. Easterbrook begins building his credibility with personal facts and reputable sources, citing convincing facts and statistics, and successfully employing Logical appeals; however, toward the end of the article, he attempts to appeal to readers’ emotions weaken his credibility and ultimately, his argument. In his article, Easterbrook starts his article by showing people how life has changed since the World War II and the Depression eras of life, and then he outlines that people that people spend lots of their time trying to keep up with the norms of life and draws the comparison that people who have higher income have depression or unhappy with themselves.
